Pray for the Hokies

http://www.auburn.edu/~noekenn/
I'm a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Please pray for the students, their parents, the staff and faculty, and the population of Blacksburg today. No one ever expects stuff like this to happen.

It's kind of surreal. I've been praying for the Broadwells and the Stevensons and other staff--just praying that God can be glorified through even this.

i have been praying....what a horror and tragedy! we were considering moving there a couple of years ago during a between-jobs time....my husband got called for an interview at VT, but had already accepted his current job. it's a wonderful area...somewhere you don't expect to hear this kind of news.

Thought of you and Steve immediately, Erin. Praying for you, the victims and families, the school officials, etc. Surreal.

They were showing his family's townhouse in Centreville on the news. Part of me missed home, part of me hated the news for showing where they lived...all of me really wanted to cry on that eliptical machine. I'd be devastated if it had happened at JMU, so I'm sure you are both struggling with this.

But in the immortal words of Stephen Curtis Chapman, "Let us pray, let us pray, everywhere in every way. Every moment of the day it is the right time. For the Father above, He is listening with love, and He wants to answer us, so let us pray."
