May I Refresh Your Cup?

As a part of our homeschool unit on Honor, we've been learning about etiquette and manners. One way to honor others is to treat them with kindness and gentility. And what better way to practice kindness and gentility than to invite your friends over for a tea party?

We dubbed her, "The charity case invited in off the street" because she looked so disheveled. (This is what you look like when you're two years old and you take a nap right straight through the pre-party primping and beautification process.)
She even ACTED like a street kid! Mixing her whipped cream, ranch dip and Earl Grey tea into a gooey concoction...
Hey, as long as you keep your pinky held out, right?

Well, they certainly do look adorable! Victoria has not stopped asking for tea since that day. She makes me get out her "special" tea cup and she wants to put the cream and sugar in all by herself. Oh, yes, now she's a cream snob... she used to take milk in her tea but no more!

We were talking about how people in different places drink their tea differently and we thought about doing a Japanese tea party.

We'll see - I can't imaging dressing up in a Kamona (I'm sure I did not spell that right!) and serving a bunch of kids who are sitting on the floor drinking tea! Thanks for a cool time!
